I’ve been through two weeks of photography class and I love it! I thought I’d share the photos that I’ve taken for weekly assignments so far.

Week One’s assignment was to learn about depth of field and aperture. So we were to line up three objects and take three photos. In the first one, just the first object is sharp, then the first two objects are sharp, and finally all three items are sharp. So I grabbed the handiest three small items I could find and went to a shady spot in the backyard.

Week Two’s assignment was to play with long exposure and light. So while Adam put Fig to bed, I packed up a tripod and went to Kemah Boardwalk. It was a lot of fun. I even got approached by a young couple to take their picture since I was a “Photographer.” That made me feel fancy. Anyway, here’s my best photos from that night.

I’m looking forward to Week Three, covering light and portraiture, and I’m hoping at some point we’ll cover composition I think that’s where I need the most help.
